W splocie wzajemnych relacji obrazu, pamięci i miejsca sytuują się także najnowsze prace fotograficzne Karskiej i Went. "Miniatury" to seria pięciu zdjęć przedstawiających fragmenty wnętrz mieszkalnych, których ściany ozdobione są innymi zdjęciami również zrobionymi przez artystki. Na ścianach tych staromodnych wnętrz oglądamy fotografie domów lub miejsc po nieistniejących już domach.
Obrazy, które, jak można przypuszczać, oferują pamięć jakichś też już nieistniejących miejsc. Jak się jednak okazuje to obrazy miejsc, których pamięć
nie ożywia żadne doświadczenie, co więcej, to obrazy, które straciły już swoje
miejsce w świecie. Bowiem wnętrza, w których zostały umieszczone to wnętrza domków dla lalek sfotografowane przez artystki w Praskim Muzeum Zabawek. Ich wykadrowane fragmenty nie pozwalają zorientować się w miniaturowej skali. Ale zasadnicza manipulacja nie dotyczy skali tylko pamięci, oglądając zdjęcia tych wnętrz dajemy się zwieść ich i własnej pamięci.
The latest works by Karska and Went are also located in the knot of interrelations between image, memory and place. "The Miniatures" is a series of five photographs featuring home interiors, the walls of which are decorated with photographs also made by the two artists. Thus we can see the photographs of houses or the places where now non-existent houses used to stand, mounted on the walls of these demode interiors. These images, as one can assume, offer the memory of places no longer existing. However , it turns out that these images feature places, whose memory has never been enlivened by any experience, which, moreover , have lost their place in the world. The interiors accommodating the pictures are actually the interiors of doll-houses, photographed by the artists in
the Museum of Toys in Prague. It is just their edited frames which make it impossible to realise the actual, miniature scale. Yet, the basic act of
manipulation does not pertain solely to the scale of memory. While looking at these house interiors, we are misled by their and our own memory.
